Local Artist Spotlights
At Persimmon, we believe in making the world a more beautiful place every day and with every interaction.
We invite local artists to display and consign selected works at the shop. These works are available for purchase. If you are a local painter or creator of beauty, come and talk to us about your love of art and we may feature your works for display and sale!
Artist works will be displayed for approximately 4 months.
Rebecca D - Warrenton, VA
Rebecca sees her art as a connection. A way for her to connect with people and for people to connect with each other. She is never so happy as when a big smile busts out on a face that is looking at a painting that she has created. They might have connected with a happy memory. Then she feels that her job is done.
Sharry M - Reva, VA
Sharry has been in the fashion industry since she was 18. She has been Persimmon's primary stylist for over a decade, helping customers find their favorite looks and consignors resell their high-quality unique pieces all while making the shop look amazing. She sells her popular hand-crafted greeting cards to loyal followers, but she also designed and painted the mural on the wall in the shop, and now her framed drawings are featured as well! Come see her at the store Wednesdays and Thursdays, and her beautiful creations any time.
Abbey N - Culpeper, VA
Abbey utilizes her unique way of painting via looking through a camera lens as she paints. Her original pieces of art is painted with acrylic paints and, whenever possible, presented on recycled canvasses, matting, or frames. Her passion lies in painting an emotion while reducing waste in art. Most art is titled using a phrase the artist feels captures the emotional content of the work.
Karen S - Culpeper, VA
Upon retiring with over 34 years experience in graphic design and illustration working for the DoD/Department of the Army, Karen began working on her original love of acrylic and watercolor painting. Throughout her life, she has used both mediums to create vibrant paintings that reflect her life experiences, particularly her love of the ocean and wildlife. From coastal beaches to the wildlife that inhabits them, she strives to capture the delicate, yet vibrant nature of nature itself.
Lenna S - Culpeper, VA
Lenna Storm, owner of Persimmon consignment, is a jeweler and metalsmith in her own right. She sells her pieces at the store when space permits. Her brand is LA Storm Designs. You can see more of her work here.
